Even for LDR standards, 7 years is a very long time, I wouldn't be able to do even half that without having met them in real life. I'd definitely say anyone needs to pencil in plans to meet sooner rather than later, it would be unfortunate to invest all that time and emotion into being loyal to somebody with whom they may not even be compatible with in real life.And now we're still long distance and will continue to be during my first year of medical school (albeit much closer than previously).
